Dear Baseball Families,
A reminder that 2025 Fall Baseball registration is open! There is a great deal of information that follows about the upcoming season which also includes some program changes! If you have any questions, please email [email protected].
Fall League Details
- Registration is open until July 18th at www.collegegroveathletics.com. Login if you already have an account otherwise select "Register" in the top right corner to create an account.
- Space is limited based on coach volunteers. Please register as a coaching volunteer if you are interested, so we can allow as many kids to play as possible. We will start waitlists if not enough coaches sign up.
- We will be offering 5U, 6U, 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U, 16U divisions.
- The age cut off is your child's age as of APRIL 30, 2026. For example, if your child is either 7 or 8 on April 30, 2026 they will be in the 8U division. If they are 9 or 10 they will be in the 10U division and so on.
- Games will be at Lions Club Park at College Grove in front of College Grove Elementary School, Cecil Lewis Park at Trinity, Bethesda Park or Heritage Park in Thompson's Station. (14U+ games may be played outside these locations)
- Rec league teams play one game twice a week, which can be weeknights and/or Saturdays
- 5U games will be primarily on Saturdays
- 6U - 12U will participate in the end of season SMTB Tournament and/or All Stars in late October. All Star Teams will have the opportunity to continue playing tournaments which will conclude by November 15. These tournaments will be selected by CG Athletics.
- Typically two practices per week in pre-season and one practice per week once games begin.
- For 6U, 8U, 10U and 12U we will have mandatory evaluations in late July. Additional information regarding evaluations for each age group will be sent later.
Flag Football
CGA will also be holding our 3rd season of flag football. Similar to last year, CGA Baseball and CGA Flag Football are committed to working together to ensure games do not conflict with each other and that families will feel comfortable signing up for both sports. While the same commitment cannot be made for practices, we will be encouraging our coaches to be understanding and flexible in allowing our players to do both activities comfortably, even if that means missing some practices.
Open League (10U, 12U ONLY)
In prior seasons College Grove has submitted a team comprised of our registrants into the Open League. Since enrollment is typically smaller for fall season the decision on if we form Open teams has not been determined. Once registration is complete and we know how many kids are participating we will be in a better position to make that determination.
Rec All-Star Teams (6U, 8U, 10U, 12U ONLY)
We have had All Stars for 6U-12U Rec Players the last two seasons. We are working to build this All Star Program and will be submitting these teams into tournaments following the end of the County All Stars. This extension of our Rec Program is a work in progress and updates will be provided prior to the beginning of the regular season.
Registration Fees
Our fees remain the same as last season. It is very important to us that every child has an opportunity to participate. If you require any financial assistance we may be able to offer full or partial scholarships for those in need. Please contact us at [email protected] for further details.
